Requesting a quotation for an LCD display should be straightforward, but display projects involve more variables than many buyers initially expect. Two screens with the same diagonal size can have different resolutions, interfaces, brightness levels, viewing angles, touch technologies and mechanical dimensions. Start with the application
Explain what the display will be used for and where the finished product will operate. A screen for a portable medical instrument has different requirements from one used in an outdoor controller, vehicle dashboard or consumer device. Describe the user, operating environment and whether the screen may be exposed to sunlight, gloves, vibration, moisture or frequent cleaning.
Confirm the display size and available space

Indoor products may need standard brightness, while outdoor or high-ambient-light products may require a high-brightness or transflective solution.
Choose the touch and interface requirements
Confirm whether the project needs non-touch, resistive touch or capacitive touch. Also identify the interface supported by the host board, such as SPI, MCU, RGB, MIPI, LVDS or HDMI. If you are unsure, provide the processor or board details so the display team can review compatibility.
Share quantity, timing and customisation needs
Include the number of samples required, expected annual usage, target production date and future volume forecast. Mention any custom FPC, cover lens, logo printing, AG, AR or AF treatment, optical bonding, special brightness or operating-temperature requirements.

The supplier can compare the requirements with standard products first. If no standard module is suitable, the team can explain the customisation route, sample process, expected lead time and commercial considerations.
